After former Governor Gary Herbert and Senator Todd Weiler deemed Pornography a “Public Health Crisis” measures were put in place to block porn from reaching Utahns. After legislation failed and the administrations censorship aspirations fizzled out, filters remained active and are going haywire.

Current Governor Spencer Cox found himself caught in his own web this week as “Cox” found it’s way into the list of forbidden words. As the former Lt Governor in the Gary Herbert Administration, Spencer is partly responsible for his own Cox Blocking. Cox and his Utah constitutes were unable to access his Website, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites and pages.

Utah’s tech sector is working hard on fixing this issue immediately. We still are going to have to see what future legislation will be implemented to combat Utah’s favorite pastime.
